Before using Ledger on a temporary computer, limit the task to environment review: app entry, USB state, device screen, and final disconnect record. Keeping the task narrow prevents a temporary setup from becoming a broader device or account-management session.
Confirm the Ledger Wallet entry first
If Ledger Wallet is not already installed in a known app environment, begin with the Ledger Wallet download and installation guide. App entry should be understood before the device is connected.
Review USB and system permission

Keep the device screen in view
