Post-Initialization Checkpoints | Device Screen, App View, and Review Record

After Ledger initialization, the next check should confirm the state that setup left behind. The device screen, app view, entry source, and review record each answer a different question.

Ledger post-initialization checkpoints with device screen app view and review record

Read the device screen first

Start with the physical device. Write the screen wording, confirmation state, and whether a button action is expected. The same device-first idea appears in the post-setup self-verification guide.

Compare the app view with the device state

Open the expected app view and record the page name or account area separately from the device screen. This keeps software view and hardware confirmation from blending into one note.

Check entry source before continuing

Before continuing, use the fixed app or site entry path. The installation and entry context in the official app installation guide helps keep the review path consistent.

Finish with a review record, not setup secrets

The final record should contain screen wording, app view, entry path, and date. For security-layer context, see the Secure Element basics guide. Do not store PINs or recovery phrase words in the review note.
