Post-Setup Self Check | Device Screen, App View, and Backup Note

A Ledger post-setup self check should confirm that setup left a clear device state and a clear app view. The backup note is only a record that the backup step was handled; it must not contain recovery phrase words.

Check the device screen after setup

Begin with the device screen and write the current prompt or confirmation state. The detailed order in the post-setup self-verification guide gives a compatible review path.

Match the app view to the screen state

Open the app view and record the page or account area shown after setup. If setup was interrupted earlier, the setup continuation guide helps identify the device state before continuing.

Write a backup note without private words

The backup note can state that the backup step was completed and where the offline record is kept. It should never include recovery phrase words, PINs, or private setup material.

Review the boundary between unlock and restore

For the difference between device unlock and restore material, use the PIN and recovery phrase guide. Finish the self check with date, device state, app view, and backup note only.
