Choosing a Cable for Ledger Nano X|Data Path, Fit, and Connection Record

For Ledger Nano X, cable choice should be reviewed by data path, connector fit, port behavior, and the device screen after connection. Charging behavior alone does not prove the cable is right for app communication.

Separate charging from data

A cable can power a device without carrying the data needed for app communication. The distinction is explained in USB-C Data Cable or Charging Cable.

Check connector fit and port path

Review whether the connector sits cleanly and whether a hub or adapter is involved. Change one path at a time so the result is readable.

Watch the device screen

After changing cable or port, read the Ledger screen and app state together. If they do not align, return to a known app entry before testing another cable.

Keep a Nano X cable note

Record cable type, port path, adapter use, app entry, and screen state. For wider connection order, compare with Why Ledger Will Not Connect to a PC.
