After copying a recovery phrase, the review should confirm order, spelling, and offline record quality. The review is not a reason to move the words into Ledger Wallet notes, cloud documents, or phone reminders. Keep the words on the record and keep ordinary notes to status only.

Review the word order after copying
Start by reading the numbered list in order. A phrase with correct words but wrong sequence is not a reliable record. For the larger backup workflow, compare with the recovery phrase backup checklist.
Check spelling and similar-looking words
Look for handwriting that could be confused later, missing letters, and repeated words. The check should happen against the offline record, not by typing the words into an app page.
Confirm the record remains offline
If a reminder is needed, write a status note such as order reviewed and spelling checked. Do not put the words in the reminder. The same boundary is explained in the photo and cloud note boundary guide.
Set the next review date
Finish by writing a date and medium-status note. For an additional confirmation pass, use the recovery phrase verification guide and keep the review process separate from daily app notes.
