Ledger Will Not Connect | Entry Source, Screen Prompt, and Connection Record
If a Ledger device will not connect, the first answer is to separate the page entry, the device prompt, and the connection record. Do not merge every symptom into one conclusion. A short, ordered record makes the next check easier.

Confirm which entry started the session
Note whether the reader opened Ledger Wallet, a support page, or a browser page before the connection issue appeared. For a broader path, the Ledger will not connect guide gives a general troubleshooting order.
Read the device prompt before changing settings
The screen may show a lock state, app state, or confirmation prompt. If both cable and Bluetooth are possible, compare the symptom order with the Bluetooth and USB triage guide.
Write a connection record with one symptom per line
Record cable or Bluetooth state, app page, device screen, and time of the check. Device-state review after setup is explained in the device-state check guide.
Decide the next narrow check
The next step should follow the recorded symptom: cable path, phone permission, app version, or device state. Keep PINs and recovery phrase words out of the connection note.
