Recovery Phrase Entry Boundary | Computer Page, Device Screen, and Offline Record
The recovery phrase entry boundary should be simple: recovery words belong to offline backup and recovery handling, not to ordinary computer page fields. The reader should separate computer page tasks, device screen prompts, and offline records before continuing.
Computer pages have a limited role
A computer page can show an app view, help text, or a prepared task. It should not become the place where a private backup record is copied. Ledger recovery phrase protection explains the offline backup boundary.
Device screen prompts need separate reading
The device screen is where the reader checks device-side prompts. Keep that screen note separate from computer page fields. When the device state is unclear, recovery phrase record state guidance gives a related local reading path.
Offline records should stay out of page notes
- Computer page: app view or help route.
- Device screen: prompt and device-side step.
- Offline record: private backup material handled separately.
- Local note: date, page path, and next step only.
This keeps the FAQ practical while avoiding exposure of private backup content.
Use reset or recovery reading only when needed
If the task moves into reset or recovery flow, use a dedicated guide such as Ledger factory reset FAQ. The normal FAQ note should remain limited to page, screen, offline record, and next step.
