A temporary computer can be treated as a connection environment. Before connecting Ledger, check the desktop state, cable, app entry, and hardware screen prompt. The goal is to make the steps clear and controlled, not to make assumptions about the computer itself.
Prepare a simple desktop environment

Open Ledger Wallet from a known entry

Let the device screen lead confirmation
